Lets go back in time & take care of our skin, tallow was used for skin care long before toxic chemical moisturizers,lotions & currently-there-are-virtuallycreams were ever on the market. So lets revisit tallow & why it is so amazing & how tallow can help you be Toxic Free in 2014. Tallow from grass-fed cows is amazing for your skin, & skin issues. I very much enjoyed reading the vintage TRADITION story, & learning about what lead to the creation of these amazing body balms. I totally get & agree we should not put anything on our skin that we would not eat, why? The Skin is the largest organ of our bodies, And things we touch or rub on our skin absorb into our bodies. So the idea of only rubbing whole foods on our skin is not only sensible but great for our health & immune system rather than breaking down our immune system with Toxic commercial or many so-called natural products. And going back to non toxic basics is also usually the key to treating common skin problems. Do you suffer with dry skin or other skin issues? If you do I really would suggest trying tallow & see how it helps you. As more & more people are learning everyday products we use in our daily lives are toxic & have a big impact on our health & our immune system functioning properly. So more & more people are on a quest to find products as natural as they can find. I to am on this search, but for me it is to find more great products that are not only non toxic but work to share with my fans. And as I always do I read the information on their website, the more I read the more I knew I needed to get in touch with them & see about reviewing & doing a giveaway for my fans.

So I waited patiently for my items to arrive & it arrived faster than I expected. Right away I had to open each & smell them & try them. I was sent a jar of Almost Unscented, Totally Unscented, & Outdoor Spice scents. They do sell other scents to so make sure to check out the other scents here. Tallow scent does not bother me, but I know others who after using commercial perfume scented skin care products the natural scent of tallow could be off-putting to them, but trust me you wont notice it after getting used to it & seeing the results. I was more excited about getting these vintage TRADITION body balms than I realized, it was like I knew I was going to love them, & I am so glad I was right about that. My excitement was justified, the results from these products is amazing. I got asked by a friend if I was doing something new with my skin care & in honesty I said no without thinking, then it hit me later I was doing something different. My friend had said my complexion looked great & healthier. So I must remember to tell her my new secret to healthy looking skin care. (for washing face & masks etc go here, here & here).

I love the way the vintage TRADITION make my skin feel rather it is my hands, face, feet or on a skin issue. In all honesty I like all 3 of the scents, I do not have a favorite, my favorite is simple ingredients of just 100% grass-fed organic tallow, extra virgin organic olive oil & when they add scents they are Young Living Therapeutic Grade™ essential oils. I have reviewed Young living on my blog before & these are quality essential oils. I wanted the Almost Unscented & the Outdoor spice scents for me to try & my daughter wanted to try the Totally Unscented And here is her review on her blog Naturally teen Approved. Just one 2 ounce jar could last awhile, it goes on smooth & spreads easily, a little goes a long way. So while you are caring for your skin you can have confidence that you are not introducing toxins into your body. I love the non greasy feel & that it is very economical because you do not need to use a lot at once.

  2. I think it’s really neat that someone is still using tallow in their skin care line. I would love to try that on my dry feet–no cream so far seems up to the challenge of these feet!

  3. I would like to be toxic free in what I put on my skin, only using things that don’t have chemicals.
