Olbas Means Quality!

I must confess before starting this review I have loved & recommended Olbas products since finding them in a health food store in Florida over 10 years ago, I have not tried all of their products but others in my family have & they have raved about all things Olbas. For several years now I have not kept Olbas products around as much as I prefer, mainly due to living rural & the health food store so far away, but I do purchase their products online now & then & still recommend the Olbas products to family, friends, fans & followers. Even if you are more DIY keeping Olbas products around can be a great idea, these products make a great addition to any natural medicine cabinet or cold, flu, pain & sickness arsenal. So I hope my love of these products & this company comes through & I hope I create some new Olbas fans as well.

Olbas & a natural family.

Yes I tend to be big time in to DIY products, but with a family & having 6 kids I also like to keep natural products around that work & I trust, & Olbas fills that need. The 2 Olbas products I will be reviewing are the Olbas Cough syrup & the Olbas Massage oil. I took both on vacation with me & again came up with some unique uses (some uses provided right from Olbas staff) I also shared with other family members as needed so I again spread the love while on vacation. ❤

Olbas A+ Customer service.

Olbas customer service has always been top-notch, so when I contacted Karen the National Sales Manager I was not at all shocked at the quick responses from a human instead of some auto responding email service. I must give a shout out to Karen for also staying in contact, giving me ideas for using the Olbas products during vacation in Florida & getting me the products before I left for vacation. Review of Olbas Cough Syrup-

Olbas Cough syrup is one of those natural items that becomes the stand by you can trust to work time & time again. I have used the cough syrup off & on now for just over 10 years & it has never failed me or my kids. I remember once my cousin came to visit us in Florida & his then young son just could not stop coughing, they tried everything & it all just made him cough worse, my cousin was not getting any sleep hearing the cough & he needed rest to drive home. So I offered Olbas Cough syrup I may have even referred to it as “liquid gold in a bottle” & made an angelic ahhh sound as I produced the bottle to display for them to marvel at 🙂 And what  do you know the Olbas worked & the whole family got a great nights rest. I have heard many similar stories over the years as I either bought others their own bottle, given up my precious bottle or recommended it to any who would listen. I probably have created a natural Olbas Cough Syrup following that is huge. OK I know I doubt I had a huge impact on such an awesome product but I can hope I got the word out enough that there are others out there who believe Olbas cough Syrup is “liquid gold in a bottle”.

So yes I highly recommend Olbas cough syrup for both Adults & Children for coughs, sore throat, itchy/tickle throat, colds, allergies, sinus drainage, dry mouth & as a cooling throat syrup. I even used Olbas Cough syrup 3 & 1/2 years ago after surgery to repair my throat where the tumor caused massive damage. The Olbas Syrup was very soothing & calming & helped more than the morphine the nurses were putting down my throat. And it also helped ease the lung pain from breathing due to damage the tumor caused in my right lung, so for months Olbas Cough syrup was a must just to deal, so yup “liquid gold in a bottle” for me for sure!

We no longer live in Florida & now happily live in Tennessee but finally got to after far to long go visit family in FL, the Olbas came in handy more than once, I had an adult family member with a bad cough who happily used the Olbas Cough Syrup I handed to her & for her son who also had a cough, both got relief from their symptoms. I also experienced allergies to pollens I had long forgotten about lol, or it could be that while on vacation I did not stick to my normal routine, whatever the reason Olbas cough syrup was there & brought welcomed relief.

Review of Olbas Massage oil-

Olbas Massage oil, oh the possibilities & I love the scent so much I added it to everything from DIY cleaners to room deodorizers & even the laundry, I even remembered to use it as a massage oil for my husband & this was after we got home from vacation, I found to many awesome uses for it on vacation so my bottle is almost gone already. So I can see where a bottle of this Olbas oil would not last long at all in my house, it is one of those products that is a great stand alone item, & great for many uses & great used in DIY everything 🙂 I for sure could have used this Olbas oil scent when I was having morning sickness during 6 pregnancies, I can tell it would have offered welcomed relief because it is full of the essential oils I love.

Just a few way I used Olbas oil on vacation: on bug bites, as a bug repellant, sore wrist, ankle pain, relaxing vapor scent, just to pass around the room & let everyone smell just how wonderful it was 🙂

I also created an awesome vapor rub with the Olbas oil: mix 4 tbsp. of raw coconut oil with 20 drops of Olbas oil, store in air tight container, can be used on chest for relief of coughing, colds, allergies etc & also great rubbed on aches & pains, also worked great for bits, stings, cuts & scrapes. You could also make a liquid version with real olive oil &/or wheat germ oil.

DIY multi purpose cleaner & air misting spray all in one: In a large spray bottle mix 1 part water with one part white vinegar or peroxide, & add 10 to 20 drops of the Olbas oil. this is a great germ fighting multi purpose cleaner great for every room in your house & can be sprayed in the air also. As a plus it makes for great fast clean up of sticky spills in the car while traveling.

Bring Olbas Oil along on your vacation if it arrives before then…mosquitoes don’t like the fragrance, and it’s great for sore muscles if you are doing any hiking or sport activity. Also helps with breathing – allergies have been terrible in our parts (eastern PA) this year – I sprinkle some on a tissue, and put into my pillowcase at night to keep me breathing. We also encourage Moms of little ones to throw a few drops down into the shower, run hot water to steam up the bathroom and safely break up baby’s croupy cough with the vapors in the room. It can also be put into a bowl of hot water and breathed in by ‘tenting’ with a towel…just be careful with kids when doing this – great as a chest rub, too!  I think you’ll love it.

I still believe in DIY & Olbas compliments DIY health very well & is far better & healthier than over the counter meds & in my experience even works better than over the counter meds.
