E3 Child Harmony Synergy blend & Protection Synergy blend.

As my fans & followers know I love essential oil & essential oil blends & I use them everyday in DIY recipes of all kinds & we use them to keep our immune system built & to stay well. And I am always interested in trying different brands & being able to pass them onto my fans (giveaway below). So I heard how great the E3 essential oils were so I contacted Lakita at essential 3, & within no time these 2 great products & spray bottle arrived, along with a great note with suggestions for using them, now that is awesome customer service.

The 2 synergy blends chosen for me to review in my home for my family are the Child Harmony & Protection, & I was so excited to try both of them as I read up on them. And boy has my family given them a workout too. We know how to use essential oils & got e3 1right to using them the day they arrived.

Right out of the box we added some of the Protection to our DIY kitchen cleaner we were mixing up (recipe below). My kids from the 8-year-old up to the 17-year-old know how to make our DIY cleaners & love using them especially when we add essential oils into them. This  Protection Synergy blend is awesome in a bath with baking soda & Epsom salt to fight off cold & flu, makes a great addition to your household DIY cleaner. I love it in Oil Pulling to fight off illness, & we also love it e3 3in our DIY toothpaste, & mouthwashes. Because of the Clove bud in this blend it is also great for numbing sore throat, tooth pain, toothaches, abscesses & mouth sores either in mouthwash, toothpaste, oil pulling, or in warm water.

But what about the Child Harmony? Oh yes it has been used, I have a 10-year-old who is kinda hyper & I knew right away this blend would be great to use for her. I used the suggestions sent to me by Lakita first. (by the way the Child calm is also great for teens & adults as well). Before my daughter went to bed I rubbed a few drops of Child calm in my hands, rubbed together then rubbed it on her sheet in her bed & on her pillow. It really did help her calm down. I also added some to the 1oz Blue Spritzer Bottle with White Cap & misted the area my kids were doing their homeschooling in every day & it seemed to help concentration & prevent distractions as well.

We love both of these blends & I am now going to share with you some of our favorite uses for them.

Recipes:

Multi purpose antibacterial spray cleaner #1:

  • 16 oz Spray bottle
  • 5 to 10 drops Protection Synergy Blend
  • 1 par (or 1/2)  white vinegar
  • to 1 part  (or 1/2) distilled water or pure water
  • Shake & use on all surfaces (not granite or stone)

Multi purpose antibacterial spray cleaner #2:

  • 16 oz Spray bottle
  • 5 to 10 drops Protection Synergy Blend
  • 1 par (or 1/2)  Peroxide
  • to 1 part  (or 1/2) distilled water or pure water
  • Shake & use on all surfaces

Antibacterial/Calming Pillow, mattress, linen, closet & room spray:

  • small spray bottle, 25 drops of Protection Synergy blend for antibacterial or 25 drops Child Harmony Synergy Blend for calming
  • 1/4 cup natural witch hazel
  • Fill the rest of the bottle with filtered or distilled water & mist it around in the air, on linens, pillows, mattresses, curtains whatever & it can be used for a surface cleaner also.
  • Options to add: 1/2 cup white vinegar or peroxide, 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 tsp Borax, 1/2 E3 2cup colloidal silver.

DIY Chest rub/Vapor rub

  • 3 Tablespoons Raw Coconut oil
  • 5 to 20 drops of Protection Synergy blend
  • Mix together in container with a lid
  • These can be used for cold, flu. allergies, stuffy noses etc. Rub generously on chest & back, & on throat if desired
This can also be rubbed on feet & put sock on to help cough & congestion. If you do not have raw coconut oil, you can use regular coconut oil, but raw would be best, or you can use Sweet almond oil or Olive oil for a liquid version.
I tend to make these as needed. These can also be used for massage of sore muscles, rubbed on for relaxing & rubbed on tired feet.

DIY Antibacterial Cleaning wipes

  • In a bowl combine 2 cups of warm/hot water with 2 tbsp of Borax, stir till dissolved.
  • Now add
  • 1/2 cup of white vinegar,
  • 1/2 cup of lemon juice,
  • 10 to 20 drops Protection Synergy blend
  • Use a plastic or glass seal tight container or leftover baby wipe container etc.
  • You can use cut up T Shirts, or use wash-clothes or a roll of paper towels cut in half etc, put in container & pour mixture over it.

Antibacterial DIY Soft scrub

  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • 1/4 cup of natural liquid soap of choice
  • 1 tbsp. peroxide
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 10 to 20 drops of Protection Synergy blend
  • 10 to 15 drops Eucalyptus essential oil (optional but works great to remove grime & soap scum)
  • Mix together & store in an old soft scrub bottle or jar with sealing lid (if to thick for squeeze bottle add extra peroxide), use just like soft scrub. The scrubbing power of baking soda cleans better than harsh abrasives, peroxide is a whitener/brightener. Great for tubs, sinks, faucets, toilets, tile, shower doors anywhere there are water spots & lime deposits & more scrubbing power is needed.

Options: to make a thicker paste gradually add salt & corn starch & store in a tub or jar with sealing lid.
Tingling, deep cleaning face wash:

  • 3 parts baking soda
  • 1 part natural liquid soap,
  • 1 to 2 drops Protection Synergy blend
  • Rub together in your hand & create a paste then rub gently & evenly in circles on wet skin/face, let sit a few minutes & wash off with warm water.
  • Ideas for natural liquid soap you can use Castle soap, Tropical Traditions liquid or foam, or All Terrain Wonder wash.

Antibacterial Hand & Body washing powder:

  • Simply add baking soda to a bowl
  • For every cup of baking soda add 5 to 10 drops of Protection Synergy blend & work it into the baking soda with a fork.
  • Add the mixture to a leftover parm cheese shaker & sit on the side of the tub or by the sink.
  • To wash hand, wet & sprinkle on rubbing then rinse off, we love this.
  • For a calming version for kids bathroom etc simply use Child Harmony Synergy Blend instead.
  • Options to add: some sea salt, Epsom salt &/or Borax for more scrubbing power.e3 5
Mouth healing Toothpaste:
  • 2 parts baking soda
  • To 2 parts raw coconut oil
  • To 1 to 5 drops Protection Synergy blend
  • Option to add: 1 part edible clay powder
  • Toothache, infection, abscesses, sores etc: Protection Synergy blend because of the clove bud is great for numbing & pain relief.

Mouthwash:

  • 1 tsp of baking soda or 1 tsp natural unrefined salt
  • in 4 to 6 ounces warm water
  • with 2 drops Protection Synergy blend & swish

Calming Play dough recipe:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tsp corn starch, arrow root or potato starch
  • 2 tbsp. room temp raw coconut oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 10 to 20 drops Child Harmony Synergy Blend
  • Optional: add desired amounts of natural food coloring

immune support Play dough:

  • Use 10 to 20 drops of  Protection Synergy blend instead

Directions:
Combine all dry ingredients, in a medium saucepan, combine water & coconut oil in a cup, slowly add to dry ingredients  while stirring to mix. Put saucepan on burner, use Med-Low to Med heat & cook slowly while stirring, do about 4 or 5 minutes. Once the mixture forms into a dough ball, let cool slightly & kneed & allow to cool. To add essential oils poke thumb into middle creating a hole, add oils to whole then kneed them into dough.

A DIY Life: Jasmine For women’s health – The beauty of picking sweet flowers

Ladies lets talk Jasmine!

It might just be that something extra your health has been needing, with the added perk of having a wonderful scent that can be used instead of perfume & jasmine isjasmine easily grown & preserved yourself for use in health & beauty. How awesome is that?

To pin this blog post on Pinterest

While I was in FL on vacation I totally got my Aunt hooked on making Jasmine water (that’s not all I got her hooked on making, but those are another story) Every morning she went out & gather enough of her just opened jasmine flowers to make 2 QT jars of jasmine water. Her whole kitchen & house smelled of the wonderful scent of jasmine, it was truly beautiful to smell in the morning. We laughed & giggles as she made it & we added some of the water she had made the day before to our coffee & talked of the many ways she could use the water. We came up with the great idea of freezing in small cubes then adding to a container in the fridge so she could just add it to her coffee & tea daily & it would last longer. Of course everyone in the house started smelling of the lovely scent of jasmine 🙂 She was misting it in the air, on furniture, curtains you name it, she was nebulizing it (fighting a cold) spraying it in our hair & taking baths in it. She said the jasmine was giving her the best nights sleep & mood lifting she had in a long time. So she’s hooked & her obsession is your gain 🙂

Jasmine did you know?

The fresh jasmine flowers contain a high amount of etheric oil. Beside this oil, the flowers also contain benzilic acetate, linalcohol, benzilic alcohol, indole and jasmon. All these substances confer jasmine aphrodisiac properties. Among other properties of the jasmine flowers are: the improvement of digestion, adjuvant in the toxins elimination and the loose of weight. They also help the acceleration of metabolism, they improve the blood circulation and it is commonly known their aphrodisiac effect.

jasmine’s flower is rich with essential oils & the antibacterial properties of jasmine’s oils against a particularly resistant  strain of E. coli, a bacteria that invades the immune system.

Jasmine 2In aromatherapy, jasmine essential oil is believed have a tranquilizing effect.

Regulates Blood Sugar: One of the best health benefits of drinking jasmine tea (or jasmine water etc) is, it controls diabetes. Jasmine tea regulates the blood sugar and glucose levels in the body which prevents the chances of suffering from diabetes.

Uses & benefits I have had drinking jasmine water, drinking jasmine tea, using the flowers & massaging & aromatherapy of jasmine oil:

PMS, menstrual issues, cramping, nausea, heavy bleeding bloating & so much more: Almost all of these symptoms can be relieved or at least improved with drinking jasmine water or jasmine tea as needed or daily. For extra benefits also rub stomach & lower back area with jasmine oil & add some jasmine flowers, oil or water to a long soaking bath with Epsom salt & baking soda.

Menopause, hot flashes, night sweets, agitation, restlessness, insomnia, headaches, skin changes on & on: Again these symptoms can be relieved or improved greatly by drinking jasmine water or jasmine tea as needed or daily. Also adding the jasmine water &/or jasmine oil to distilled water or colloidal silver in a misting spray bottle is cooling & moisturizing to skin when sprayed on as needed, it also has an aromatherapy effect that can ease symptoms & lift your mood.

Hormones: Considering all Jasmine helps above of course it helps with hormone issues since jasmine 1those are hormone issues. Just do not underestimate how much daily drinking & using jasmine can help.

Immune system builder: Got a cold, allergies or the flu or maybe even a stomach virus or food poisoning? well drink up some jasmine water or tea, add a few flowers to your coffee or favorite tea. add a few drops of jasmine water to distilled water in a nebulizer, netti pot or saline nose rinse (info found online & tried with great success, but do your own research first) You can also rub the oil in the chest & throat area, try mixing jasmine oil in with raw coconut oil in a body butter to rub on skin for relief.

Headaches, allergy headaches & Migraines: Get relief by misting skin & face with jasmine water, massaging jasmine oil into temples & back of neck. Drinking jasmine water or tea. then just close your eyes & relax.

Favorite ways to use Jasmine:

Misting spray: Jasmine water in a spray bottle. Great as a cooling & relaxing scent on skin, Jasmine 2great for tension too, spray in just washed wet hair & comb through. Moisturizing to skin. Great as a perfume, car & home deodorizer. Great for baby’s bottom.

Fresh flowers: add a few clean fresh flowers to your morning hot beverage for a great healthy pick me up, add to water when making rice or potatoes. Add to your salads, add to homemade dressings, oatmeal on & on, get creative.jasmine 1

Massaging: use the jasmine oil as an all over massage or any area & great as a relaxing foot massage.

In body butter: Simply mix your DIY jasmine oil with raw coconut oil as directed here

Cleaning: use straight as a disinfectant in a spray bottle or add with any of your favorite DIY sprays, wipes, pastes etc (lots of recipes here)

Shampoo & Conditioner (NoPoo): Jasmine water is awesome as a final rinse or even as a leave in rinse, great added with baking soda water as shampoo, great as a conditioner. And it leaves your hair smelling great so it is an awesome addition to your no poo routine.

Skin care: Great added to almost any DIY skin care items, or in a paste with baking soda to clean skin & face.

In oil pulling: Spray some jasmine water into your mouth while oil pulling or use your jasmine oil & coconut oil body butter mixture for oil pulling, it is amazing.

Baking & cooking: Add the jasmine water or jasmine oil to cakes, stir fry, pastas, rice, or anywhere you want a sweet floral flavor.

Beverages: Use your imagination add jasmine flowers, jasmine water, jasmine oil or jasmine body butter to any hot beverage or tea, or even to smoothies & protein shakes. Iced tea, juices, slushies’ etc Frozen watermelon added to a blender with jasmine water made into a slushy is awesome.

Icee: freeze the jasmine water & either pull out before totally frozen & crush or crush in blender or food processor once frozen, this is totally tasty, refreshing & cool & my pre-teen loves it

Teen approved: My teenagers love the jasmine water for hair, skin & perfume & are even loving soaking in a bath with it, my pre teen loves to add it in a spray bottle with white vinegar & water as a great disinfecting multi purpose spray cleaner also.

Jasmine water How To:

Gather the fresh jasmine flowers, wash with cool water to remove any dirt or pests, try to at least start off with 1 cup of firmly packed flowers.

jasmine waterThe ratio is 1 part flowers to 2 parts boiling water, so if you gather one firmly packed cup of flowers with no stems & leaves you will need 2 cups of boiling water & so on. Use only distilled water, filtered water or pure spring water, add the washed flowers to a heat-resistant bowl & pour the hot water over them.

Then just cover the bowl with a lid or plate & let the flowers steep for 30 to 40 minutes. Then simply scoop out as many of the flowers as you can with clean hands, making sure to squeeze the petals to get as much moisture out as possible. then strain the jasmine water through a coffee filter into a jar.

Jasmine water will last about a week to 10 days if stored in the refrigerator when not in use. to help extend its shelf life either add 1 tbsp. of colloidal silver per 2 cups of jasmine water, or add 1 tbsp. rubbing alcohol, grain alcohol or Vodka per 2 cups of jasmine water.

Jasmine Tea how to:

This is very similar to jasmine water but you drink it hot/warm.

Gather about 5 to 10 fresh washed flowers per cup, add flowers to a coffee mug & pour water over flowers, steep 5 to 7 minutes & sweeten to taste with raw honey.

For an even better tea packed with benefits add the flowers in with white tea, green tea or black tea while steeping. You can also add about 1/2 cup of the jasmine flowers or jasmine water to the second fermentation of kombucha tea for a jasmine infused kombucha tea. (only do in second fermentation, never add in with SCOBY)

You could also add the flowers to your fresh made ginger tea

Jasmine oil how to:

Go to my blog post on Honeysuckle infused oil & follow the same steps to make jasmine oil.

Plant Therapy Essential oils, great quality at affordable prices

a1Plant Therapy Top 6 Synergies Sampler set Essential oils (EO’s) Review
If you have been a fan of mine very long then you know I use essential oils a lot in my DIY products, cleaning, laundry, bath & body etc.
Not only are EO’s great additions they can also lift your mood, energize you even make you feel better all while being healthy & giving your house a great natural scent
There is no doubt I love EO’s (just ask my friends, since I might say too much sometimes) but when asked what brand I use I have not been stuck on any one brand. I just buy what I can find at a good price & a quality product.
Then a few weeks ago I was offered some essential oils from a company I had kinda heard of, so I was interested & checked it out.

a1Top 6 Synergies Sampler Set. Includes Essential Oil Blends of:

Sensual (Aphrodisiac)
Energy (Physical Energy)
Germ-Fighter (Like Thieves)
Relax (Physical Relaxation)
Immune-aid (Immune System Booster)

As you know I wont recommend something until I have researched it, tried it, & like it! (or love it)

So I have researched & tried them & we do love them

I will be including pictures to show you how I used each (6 total) in Our DIY products

At first I thought this would be a challenge since I have rarely used blends & the set I received are blends, but I love being challenged.

And once reading what oils were in the blends & smelling them I knew right away what to use each scent for

Any of the 6 could be added to cleaners, laundry, room deodorizer & even a soaking bath

But here is how we used each so we could see how well these EO’s worked

Scroll to bottom for pictures & information what EO’s are in each blend

  • Immune Aid~ was used in a soaking bath with baking soda & Epsom Salt

And they also offer a line of Organic Essential oils & a whole Line of Synergy oil blends to suit your needs along with Carrier oils, diffuser, cases etc

So from now on when someone asks me to recommend a essential oil brand I will be directing them to Plant Therapy
